Navigate Academy launches with Programmatic Week

This Summer has seen a number of firsts.

The BBC announced their first female Doctor Who, Jeff Bezos briefly overtook Bill Gates as the richest person in the world in four years and Neymar became the first £200 million player. Navigate can also add to this list of Summer firsts as we launched our first series of Navigate Academy events.

The Navigate Academy is the name we’ve given to our internal learning sessions and first up on the agenda was the topic of Programmatic. Whilst the Media Planning and Buying team live and breathe the subject, it’s important that all teams have an understanding of the channel and to dispel any myths they may have had.

Programmatic has been under increased scrutiny since the start of the year so during our week of events we looked to get to grips with the basics, look at the landscape and understand what levers we have as an agency to ensure that Programmatic meets our client’s objectives. Speakers from Quancast, Double Verify & Flashtalking all helped to provide specialist insights in each of their specific areas and aided everyone’s understanding of what can be perceived as a complex topic. To round off the week, all attendees were given a quiz to test their knowledge and pleasingly everyone did really well – there were no ‘fails’ to report!

Thanks to everyone who participated and taking the time out of some busy schedules.  We’ll be continuing to roll out many more Navigate Academy events over the coming months with topics already planned including Attribution and Affiliates.
